Thaba Chweu Local Municipality
The towns of Lydenburg, Sabie, Graskop and Pilgrim’s Rest are part of
Thaba Chweu Municipality. “Thaba Chweu” (White Mountain) is a Sotho word that
refers to the occasional snow capped peaks of Mauchsberg, Formosa and
Mount Anderson, three 2 200 m high mountain peaks between Sabie and Lydenburg.
